Bogoslow, Jones, Stephens & Duffie, P.A. serves as general counsel to local governments located in several counties in the Lowcountry. Our representation of these local entities includes employment and labor matters, zoning and annexations, election issues, Freedom of Information Act requests, contract negotiations, and prosecuting municipal offenses. In addition, we serve as general counsel to the Colleton County School District.

This representation has involved complex litigation with the United States Justice Department on desegregation issues, as well as teacher dismissal hearings, students civil rights, student disciplinary issues, and Title IX and IDEA issues. Being centrally located in the Lowcountry, we are able to be present at all council and board meetings. This is an important aspect of representation because critical issues often arise at  meetings.
